  Material Whirled history:

MW was founded by Angela Place and Reenie Hanlin. We met in February, 2005 in a spinning class at our lys. We immediately realized that we are kindred spirits and quite possibly twins separated at birth. We have yet to determine which one of us is the evil twin. Usually most people assume it’s Reenie, but truth be told, it’s more likely Angela. We started spinning yarn together, realized that we had a bigger passion for actually creating the yarn than creating things with the yarn. We decided to start a little online web shop in May of 2005 and we’ve never looked back

In July 2007 Reenie moved from PA to WA and took MW with her.

Angela will continue to be a part of MW by contributing her amazing yarns.
