1.
Create a slipknot. Take the top horizontal bar off of the loom and put the loop
of the knot on the right pole, with the yarn behind left pole, and the knot
centered in the middle. Put the horizontal bar back on.
2.
Flip the loom from right to left (clockwise).
TIP:
**You will always flip the loom in the same direction.**
The loop is now on the LEFT
hand side.
3.
Stick the crochet hook through the loop (front to back) and pull the yarn
through. Pull yarn through the loop on the crochet hook.
4.
Slip the crochet hook through the loom to the back of work and flip loom from
left to right again.
There will now be two
loops on the crochet needle to pull through.
(When sliding the hook
through the loops you can either go through the loop or under both
strands of the loop. Each one creates a different effect.)
TIP: **Keep your work in the middle of the loom. Hold on to the work to
secure it the first few loops.
